Transit visa is granted for the sole purpose of enabling the visa holder to travel through India to reach his/her ultimate destination. Change of purpose is not allowed.

Validity:

Transit Visa is valid for single journey or two journeys. It would be valid for entry within 15 days from date of issue specified by Indian Mission.

Duration of stay during each visit by foreign nationals passing through India should not exceed 3 days.

The applicant should possess confirmed ticket to his destination beyond India.

Entry Points:

Passengers having valid Transit visa can enter India from any desired port of immigration check post (Airport, Seaport).

Fee:

Visa fees for Transit visa is C$31+C$4. Additional  service charge of BLS may be applicable.

Form:

The visitors are required to fill online visa Application and submit the printout of the online filled application and required travel documents to the nearest Visa Application Centre.

1. Passport with 6 month validity
2. Passport size photographs
3. Photo copy of passport
4. Copy of online Filled form
5. Confirm air ticket for onward journey
6. Valid visa for final destination

Processing Time

It usually requires 7 business days to grant Transit Visa, excluding the time taken in postal transmission.
